NSSA Oxford Championships (toppers)

As we turned up the wind looked to be fairly acceptable, about a force 3.

The first race was postponed for a while to let the wind fill in. The first race went underway with a light breeze. The start line turned out to be starboard bias, after a sudden wind shift. The first race saw a 1st Place for Andy Fielder. After that race the wind failed to come, seeing no more races for day 1, which was good news for Andy.

Day 2 Saw almost exactly the same wind, but better than the forecast predicted. All the races were very shifty, and with Andy Fielder bringing home consistent sets of results he looked set to win the Championships, but with Louis McVeigh catching up it was going to be close for the next 2 races. The next 2 races were very shifty and gusty. And Louis getting ever closer. The next race had a bit of criticism as the beat was very one sided, maybe spending no more than 1 minute on port from the starboard end of the start line. Louis only needed to get a 3rd in this race which he did. In which winning the champs on count back.

1st Louis McVeigh 2nd Andy Fielder 3rd Richard Valentine
