Toppers at Draycote
The day started as a light sunny day, with around 40 toppers.
The first race was scheduled to start at 11.00am, and it looked like it was going to start in light winds, but due to the race being held up by 20miniutes, we started in a considerable breeze. The start was favouring the pin end and tacking straight away to go left, unless you had a miracle breeze and held it.
For the second race the wind was more or less the same and so was the course.
After lunch the wind was getting close to hiking weather, but was still getting on the plane. The course had been lengthened and an extra lap put in bringing it up to 3. The start line was not so biast now so it was safer to start in the middle. The wind stayed more or less the same through out the race, the race committee shortened the race at 2 laps, to squeeze in that extra lap.
The wind and course was the same for the last race but for the people further down the fleet the wind dropped right at the end.
Photos will be available before the end of the week.
